The Bysons Debut EP “Meet The Bysons” is out now! As of July 24, “Meet The Bysons” is available on all streaming platforms as well as direct purchase on Bandcamp. This 6-song, 17-minute project features songs written by The Bysons as well as one cover: “I Shall Be Released” written by Bob Dylan. The Bysons started thinking about this project as far back as 2022 and began working on songs in 2023 while they were traveling. The songs came naturally, as they were being flooded with inspiration during their travels. Music felt like the perfect creative outlet for them to process the eye-opening experiences they were having.

The Bysons returned to the US in 2024 and recorded this project in Austin, TX at the Melted Igloo. With the help of the Melted Igloo community, they brought in musicians to record and get their songs over the finish line. Jay Es plays guitar on four of the songs and helps balance the spacey synths with down-to-Earth rhythms and grooves. Drew Daniels plays keys on two of the songs and brought the perfect soulful touch the songs needed. Brandon Woody plays trumpet on “Air Up There” and shines through with a brilliant solo that picks the song up and flies away. Jami Tefridj, founding member of the Melted Igloo, serves as engineer and producer for the project.

“Meet The Bysons” is an exciting beginning for the newlyweds. Their musical chemistry is evident in their first recording as they build a strong foundation for future projects. Their artistic vision is united and their creative process feels effortless. The attention to detail keeps the entire production interesting, all the way down to the cover art, which is a block print created by Mike Byson. A second EP is already in the works, but for now, we are excited for you to Meet The Bysons!
