The Bysons, formed of Mike and Jackie, are a musical duo and life partners from Baltimore, Maryland. Their debut EP “Meet the Bysons” spawned from Mike’s travels around Asia in 2023 where he channeled his flurry of inspiration into music for his wife to sing. “Meet the Bysons” is a vulnerable travel diary filled with love letters, confessions of fear, and an ode to the people, places, and adventures that have touched the Bysons on their journey. Once he returned to the US, the Bysons recorded their songs in Austin, Texas at the Melted Igloo. 

 As a documentary photographer, Jackie is on a journey fueled by passion for activism and adventure. She uses photography to shed light on the stories and struggles of everyday people, amplifying their voices and advocating for change. Through her photography as well as her voice, Jackie is on a journey to explore all the beauty and complexities of life.

Aside from their music, Mike is a mixed media artist. Mike’s studio work has been exhibited in the Mid-Atlantic, Colombia, and Japan where he most recently participated in an artist residency program at Studio Kura.


Blending the sweet sounds of Pedal Steel, Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Drums and Space with a big ass Bass, Dead on Deck has emerged as a spirited new Santa Cruz-Based Jam Band, off the heels of Dead & Company, and forever captivated by the Grateful Dead.
